Sydney electronic-pop trio Glades have returned with a new single, Eyes Wide Shut, a bittersweet dance track featuring the uplifting, crystalline vocals of frontwoman Karina Wykes. The band is currently finishing their debut album in LA.

Of the track, Glades said, “Eyes Wide Shut is about coming to the realization in a relationship that something needs to change, when you’ve been letting somebody take advantage of your love. It’s about having the courage and self -respect to see and call it what it is, when they are blindly comfortable.”

Eyes Wide Shut follows the singles Do Right – now certified ARIA Gold with over 60 million streams to date – and Not About You, which was the #1 most played track on triple j. Not About You has amassed 3.2 million streams to date.

Glades – comprised of Karina Wykes and multi-instrumentalist producers Cameron Robertson and Joseph Wenceslao – first attracted widespread attention in 2016, after the release of their track Drive, and has since attracted 36 million streams. The trio have since amassed a staggering 150 million global streams. Glades also recently featured on the new FEKI single, Love You Better.

Glades have toured with the likes of LANY and Clean Bandit, and undertaken sold out headline tours of both Australia and the U.S. Glades will perform at Listen Out 2018 later in September with A$AP Rocky, Skrillex, Snake Hips, Confidence Man and more.
