2018 Melbourne Cup Carnival – Food delights for The Park

A selection of Melbourne’s hottest foodie destinations will pop up in The Park this Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington. Racegoers’ taste buds will be in for a treat with the gastronomic line-up including Easey’sDrumplingsSouth of the WallTakeaway PizzaPrinces Pies and Glacé.

The Park menu will feature American-style comfort food classics from Easey’s including classic beef burgers, chicken and pork sandwiches, and delicious sides; while modern Mexican eatery South of the Wall will serve up tasty tacos and loaded fries; and Drumplings will offer a fusion of tradition and contemporary that takes globally recognised dishes and encases them in an authentic Chinese dumpling.

Don’t miss delicious slices from Takeaway Pizza; mouth-watering meat pies including lamb, goat’s cheese and truffle pie from Princes Pies; and icy sweet treats from Glacé.

Victoria Racing Club (VRC) Executive General Manager Customer Engagement Caroline Ralphsmith said that The Park will again be a top destination for fans of fabulous food. “The Park will offer a culinary haven featuring some of the city’s favourite foodie destinations,” Ms Ralphsmith said. “Racegoers will be spoilt for choice with an array of sumptuous offerings from pop-ups by the best in the business including Easey’s and Glacé. There’s something for everyone in The Park – the place to indulge in the city’s best food and beverages this Melbourne Cup Carnival.”

Adding to the culinary experience, the two-storey Seppelt BarJames Squire Caravan and The Pony Bar will offer racegoers the perfect beverage accompaniments to their food of choice.

Also to quench the thirst of racegoers, the Furphy Bar will be the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing brew.

The Absolut Electric Avenue activation is a unique Absolut experience, offering racegoers a place to dance, share and play. It features a high energy human powered dance floor – the energy from the dance floor powers its LED lights and sound system.

Celebrating Australian women at play, Bumble Place makes its Park debut. The charming and playful space features a make-up station, carousel and merchandise cart, acting as the perfect backdrop to celebrate the racing season in all its feminine splendour.
