Single Release: Creo – Plasticine Mezzanine
Following on from their recently released standout single ‘In The Red’, Sydney-based indie-rock group CREO have just revealed the follow up track ‘Plasticine Mezzanine’ – produced by long-time collaborator Nathan Sheehy (Dune Rats, Birds of Tokyo, Kim Churchill).
Momentarily building with a stirring intro, ‘Plasticine Mezzanine’ swiftly kicks in with infectious guitar hooks riding over a monstrous wall of sound, before sliding gracefully into its nonchalant verses. The track finds an extra gear as it enters its soaring and compelling choruses, led by the melodic screams of frenetic front man Jorjee Haman.
EP title track ‘In The Red’ was warmly received by the likes of radio triple j, community radio, Spotify and worldwide tastemakers Indie Obsessive (USA), The Revue (CAN), ParaPOP (IDN) and Pilerats (AUS). To celebrate the release, the band also performed strongly attended shows in Sydney, Wollongong and Melbourne.
In the coming weeks CREO will unveil an accompanying music video for ‘Plasticine Mezzanine’, as well as release their sophomore EP ‘In The Red’ (due Friday October 26).
