Dame Changers, together with Universal Pictures, is thrilled to present THE WOMEN OF PALM BEACH, an In Conversation with Jane Caro followed by a special preview screening of Palm Beach on Friday 2nd August at 6:30pm at Dendy Opera Quays.

The screen professional collective Dame Changer present an opportunity to see the film before its Australian cinema release, and a chance to hear from the inspirational women behind it. Directed and co-written by Rachel Ward (Beautiful Kate), the film is a testament to the perseverance of the creative team. Rachel will be joined by actresses Heather Mitchell and Jacqueline McKenzie and producer Deb Balderstone to offer a behind the scenes look at the making of the film and provide female filmmakers with a deeper understanding of the hurdles and obstacles they face when taking scripts to screen.

Palm Beach opened the 2019 Sydney Film Festival and was described as “an exuberant and life-affirming celebration of friendship… with witty dialogue, a breathtaking location and great actors at the top of their game”.

When a group of lifelong friends gather in Palm Beach to celebrate a milestone birthday, conviviality soon gives way to the messy realities of life.

PALM BEACH is in cinemas nationally from August 8, 2019. Watch the trailer here.

Tickets are $20 and available via Eventbrite.
