2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival – Bumble

Bumble, the woman-first social networking app that empowers women to make the first move in dating, friendship and business, is bringing the buzz back to Melbourne Cup Carnival for the second year in a row. Bumble is pleased to announce the unveiling of the ‘Bumble Arcade’ at The Park, Flemington.

The Bumble Arcade will be open in the general admission precinct The Park throughout the four-day Carnival, exclusive and free to Bumble users. In the arcade, Bumble users can connect with fellow racegoers and enjoy a skill tester claw machine full of Bumble merchandise, basketball machines and an air hockey table. For those who want to rest their feet, guests will be able to sit back and relax in the lounge area in a deck chair under Bumble umbrellas. Incorporating pink, yellow and blue soft-tones, the Bumble Arcade doesn’t disappoint, promising to be the most photographable destination during the Carnival week.

All racegoers are able to come into the Bumble Arcade and enjoy the space. Bumble app users who show their Date, BFF or Bizz profiles can play the arcade games and redeem prizes. Bumble is free to download on your app store.

Michelle Battersby, Bumble’s Marketing Director APAC, said; “We are so excited to reveal the Bumble Arcade. It will be the hot spot to relax, win some freebies, and connect with other racegoers over a game of air hockey. We can’t wait to add another splash of colour to the Melbourne Cup Carnival.”

In addition to activating in The Park, Bumble is opening Birdcage marquee tickets up to its Australian users, giving away tickets to join Bumble on Kennedy Oaks Day and Seppelt Wines Stakes Day. 10 winners will be selected to attend Seppelt Wines Stakes Day in the Bumble Marquee with their BFF, and there will be one lucky winner chosen to attend Kennedy Oaks Day, receiving helicopter transfers and access to the exclusive Perch and Bumble Birdcage Marquees.

Since its launch, Bumble has amassed over 70 million registered users in more than 150 countries. This has led to over 1.2 billion women-led first moves and over four billion messages sent worldwide.

Since its official launch in Australia in December 2016, Bumble has experienced enormous growth, with over 47 million first moves made, three million registered users and over 550 million messages sent through the app in Australia.

Bumble is available to download for free in the App Store and Google Play. Bumble has modes for dating (Bumble Date), friend finding (Bumble BFF) and professional networking (Bumble Bizz).

The Bumble Arcade will be in The Park across all four days of the carnival – AAMI Victoria Derby Day, Lexus Melbourne Cup Day, Kennedy Oaks Day, and Seppelt Wines Stakes Day.
