Hobart’s new private dining room – The Printing Room at Peppina
A culinary experience created by renowned Tasmanian chef Massimo Mele, Peppina is an Italian inspired restaurant with a Tasmanian twist, combining incredible seasonal produce with the generosity and warmth of Italian hospitality. The signature restaurant of The Tasman, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart offers a captivating discovery for visitors of the Tasmanian capital and is welcomed as a favourite among locals.
The Printing Room sits within the original sandstone walls of the circa 1860 room that once housed the printing presses for the surveyor’s department. A single 18-seat table by local designer Scott van Tuil runs the length of the room. Original windows and doors, as well as two heritage fireplaces, restored with an elegant modern interior and furnishings create a truly unique local flair for an intimate dining experience.
Guests can expect a daily-evolving menu featuring seasonal pastas, locally sourced meats and seafood cooked on the grill, and a selection of antipasti. An extensive wine list highlights wines of integrity from single vineyard producers, as well as wines by winemakers and grape-growers with Italian ancestry from across Australia and Italy.
