For the first time ever the Melbourne Racing Club will host a headline performance during the Caulfield Spring Racing Carnival by Australian based band Evermore. Evermore’s performance will take place on The Age Caulfield Guineas Day, Saturday, October 9, in the new public area – The Carnival Precinct. The well liked band will bring a huge day of racing to a grand crescendo, playing towards the end of the day and after the final race. The band, comprised of three brothers Jon, Peter and Dann Hume, have a flair for catchy pop melodies and talent for creating soulful and affecting lyrics. Their songs have achieved international success: in the US ‘It’s Too Late’ was featured on hit TV drama The O.C. With accolades including several nominations for numerous ARIA Awards, all three of their albums going platinum, and supporting Pink throughout her 2009 Australian and European tour, their performance at The Age Caulfield Guineas Day is expected to draw thousands.
