19 year old Claire Parker, is a full time student at the University of Technology Sydney as well as holding the title as the reigning Miss Teen Australia for 2009/2010.

Throughout her life she has trained in a vast array of sports including squad swimming, Irish dancing, jazz, netball and gymnastics, up until her Higher School Certificate when she had to give them up to focus on her studies. Claire has also studied drama and appeared in a number of school based productions including as the lead in Alice in Wonderland. Claire is an accomplished public speaker having won numerous public speaking and debating competitions in the past six years. She now is studying a Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Textiles at UTS and is an aspiring fashion designer with a lot of promise.

In addition to attending university Claire works in a surf store and also indulges her love of music, playing the piano, guitar and singing and enjoys jamming with her friends, hoping to also explore a career path in the music industry in the future. Since winning the Miss Teen Australia competition in late 2009 she has begun building her public profile as well as delving into the world of modelling, having done a couple of photoshoots for clients such as Vina Jewellery and Fingr's Nails. Winning Miss Teen Australia has also provided her the opportunity to work with the Barnardos Childrens Charity which is the charity supported by the Miss Teen Australia competition.
