:: McGrath Foundation goes Wicked Green

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

In an Australian first, the McGrath Foundation is partnering with Wicked Australia and Showbiz International for an in-season charity performance of Broadway’s Biggest Blockbuster, Wicked, on Wednesday, March 24 at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre.

This unique event was initiated by Showbiz International who saw this as an opportunity to bring Wicked Australia and the McGrath Foundation together to raise vital funds towards the Foundation’s valuable work in supporting women who are diagnosed with breast cancer and their families.

Wicked Australia and Showbiz will join forces to donate a minimum of $12.50 from the sale price of Emerald & ‘A’ reserve tickets and up to $100 for packages sold for this performance to the McGrath Foundation.

McGrath Foundation Executive Director, Tracy Bevan, said, “We are so appreciative of this wonderful opportunity from Showbiz International and Wicked Australia. “This performance is a great opportunity to gather family and friends together and to raise money to help support Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. In the approach to Valentine’s Day, we would also like to encourage people to consider giving the person they love the gift of a truly magical evening, as pink really does go good with green!”

Showbiz International CEO Craig McMaster said, “We are delighted we have been able to initiate this partnership to support the great work of the McGrath Foundation with Wicked Australia. The McGrath Foundation’s quest to educate the community about the importance of breast awareness and raise vital funds for the placement of McGrath Breast Care Nurses right across Australia is inspiring. As is Wicked Australia, whose participation in this event is an unprecedented and positive approach to support the community within which they perform.”

Tickets and VIP, Dining and Hotel Packages for this special charity performance are now on sale exclusively through Showbiz or phone 1300 WICKED.
