:: Opening of Ouzo 88 restaurant

Ouzo 88 in Crown Street, Woolloomooloo came alive for the opening of owner Nikos Kalis’ restaurant, which has been transformed from Italian into Greek. It was certainly a night for the Ouzo, which has never quite captured my tastebuds, so I settled for the usual safe option – dry red.

The finger food was absolutely first class - . anchovy rolls, Greek cheese tartlets, chicken souvlakia, octopodi, kleftiko crepes, pastitsio and loukoumades were amongst the hard to pronounce delicacies on the menu.

Two very professional Greek dancers from Fotia Dance Company strutted their stuff with full Grecian plom.

A great night and we wish Nikos all the best with his new venture.

Here are pictures from the night.
