:: Range Rover celebrates its 40th anniversary

Range Rover celebrated its 40th anniversary in London recently with a gathering of celebrities which included Victoria Beckham, Holly Valance, Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke of Sass & Bide, Angus Holland, Erin O’Connor, Zara Philips and Victoria Pendleton. Over 300 VIPs from all over the world flocked to the event held at The Orangery at Kensington Palace in London.

As part of the celebration, Managing Director of Land Rover, Phil Popham, presented for the first time, the all-new compact Range Rover due to arrive in Australia in October 2011. Named the Range Rover Evoque, the new coupé will be the smallest, lightest and most fuel efficient Range Rover ever produced. Customers will have a choice of a 4WD and 2WD version, with a sub 130g/km CO2 demonstrating the Range Rover brand’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Also announced at the event was a collaboration with Victoria Beckham who will commence work with the brand as Creative Design Executive on a special edition of the new Range Rover Evoque.
