Australia’s most unique and colourful charity event is set to take place on September 24, 2011 and the world is invited to attend. Hosted by well-known Australian singer and actress, Tottie Goldsmith and TV personality Aaron McCarthy, Body Canvas will be held at the prestigious Atrium Flemington Racecourse.

“Body Canvas is about dreaming big, inspiring others to achieve greatness, bringing people together and sharing in something that is truly amazing,” said Clinton Kopittke, founder of Body Canvas. The event features models and celebrities in full body paint and fashion art designs created by professional artists.

Body Canvas is a celebration of life and is being held in cooperation with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit breast cancer research, a disease that kills millions of women each year. Tickets can be purchased on the Body Canvas website

Journalists will get an opportunity to meet the team behind Body Canvas, as well as the models, artists and entertainers at the pre-Body Canvas media and VIP night being held at Silk Road on Friday September 2.

Those attending Body Canvas on September 24 will enjoy a sumptuous three-course gourmet banquet provided by Peter Rowland Catering, complete with unlimited beer and wine. A stellar array of entertainment will be featured, along with the Body Canvas spectacular. The event will see fifty professional models that passed the strict castings from Victoria and Queensland as well as fifty of the best artists and fashion designers from around the world. Artists and models will also be supported by a huge team of professional hair and make-up artists to add that extra touch of glamour. Body Canvas provides a unique way for people around the world to support breast cancer research, while enjoying one of the most creative events on the planet. Professional artists team with beautiful models for a body painting competition featuring five categories, each with its own particular theme.
