:: Spotlight :: Brooke Daniels Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Taking inspiration from the classic styles of ‘Marching Band’, the Brooke Daniels Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection harnesses a range of dresses, skirts, playsuits and accessories including leather cuffs and belts. In keeping with the theme, we see royal tones of purple, navy, red, white and gold paired back with traditional uniform style adornments including sashes, chains, belts, buckles, buttons and stripes.

Brooke Daniels is designed to make the wearer look and feel fabulous and comfortable and therefore the collections ensure the most flattering of structure and shape. The signature style being the body con and bandage shape that have been perfected with fabric quality, placement and cut of paneling along with the overall proportion of the garment. The key body con shapes are seen in The Krystal Dress, The Eva Dress and the Caryn Skirt.

A-Line shapes make a comeback in The Twiggy and The Marilyn as well as the tulip-like skirt shape of The Lucy Dress, which perfectly flatters the pear shape enabling the enhancement of the torso whilst flattering the hips and thighs.

Brooke Daniels understands the differences in body shapes and introduces techniques of rouching and colour blocking to assist in making the wearer look smaller by visually ‘cutting off the sides’. In addition, her dresses are offered in two lengths; mini and tall.

Brooke Daniels is 100% Australian owned and made with all materials sourced locally, ensuring all items are produced lovingly to ensure the highest level of quality. Projecting vibrancy and style, the 2011 Collection is simplistic and chic allowing for personalised accents for a beautifully confident woman.
