It was an opportunity to take first look at the showcasing of this summer’s latest styles. It was part of the shopping centre's 13-hour VIP Shopping Night, which included a Fashion Party hosted at Cafe Sapore. The folk at Sapore did a great job in providing the hospitality and sumptious catering for the celebrities and sponsors. There was a noticeable surge in customer numbers at the VIP night, partly due to the magnificent new stores that extenuate Chadstone's charm in fashion. Numbers had certainly dropped in the previous eighteen months at these VIP nights, but this occasion struck the right note and it should extend to the next one, just prior to Christmas, when more wonderful stores open. The Runway Shows showcased the themes of: Neutrals – Vogue suggests an earthy colour palette this season inspired by the desert. Bright Young Things – Be bright and bold - with hot pink and orange the colours to watch Sporty – Josh Goot, Lacoste and Country Road provide the inspiration for that modern, sporty shapes. Sparkle – sequins aplenty were on show. Other attractions are beading and satin fabrics. Embellishment – making something simple and effective which will suit many shoppers. Power Dressing – for a business woman ro wear that strong looking business suit. Parisian Chic – cute cardigans, lace, string of pearls and wide slacks; all will make you feel young and trendy.
