:: Spotlight :: Chocolate City store celebrates first birthday

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

If you were at the launch party a year ago you would have had some idea on how Chocolate City label owner Richard Wiggan creates a party atmosphere. Richard's shop in the little fashion hub, that is Greville Street, Prahran, now had reason to celebrate its first birthday.

With models blazing through the store in the new collection, Jamaican finger food wafting through the air, sports cars lining the street, and with some of Melbourne's glam crowd, the night was filled with flavour. Guests included Eliza Jane Cotter, N'Fa, Andrew Desilva, Alyse Co'cliff, Wayne Mailing, Rob Maisano and Matylda Buczko.

Andrew Desilva and Nfa a.k.a No Fixed Abode performed hits off their new music and gave us a mix of lyrics like Lenny Kravitz meets Jay Z rocking the crowd into the night. The upstairs bar and Pamper room gave guests hand massage and nail touch ups by Gorgeous Fx, and Edible chocolate flower arrangements by Edible Blooms kept the theme of Chocolate City well through the night.

Richard said, “Reaching a year is a good start for any business. The range is filled with colour and printed dresses and tee's but there are great shirts and suits for the men which will offer a full look for next season, especially for those customers who want to stay casual or dress for a dinner date.”

The Chocolate City label was later on show at the L'Oreal Fashion Festival at the Prahran Town Hall.

Chocolate City has now launched its online store
