:: Spotlight :: Chocolate City shop opens in Melbourne

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

When a Jamaican designer raised in England hits Melbourne you can expect the British fashion scene with the influence of his funky roots of the Caribbean to create something for the cool runnings of Australia. Fashion for the tasty fashionisters is Chocolate City’s approach to the label in its fourth year that has melted into numerous stores in every state across Australia.

Designer Richard Wiggan creates a blend of contemporary street wear that you can roll up to a bar or raise the brow in the funkiest club.

With this mind, Chocolate City opened its first long awaited concept store in Greville St, Prahran in February 2007. This new collection for Winter 07’ offers a range of contemporary garments complimenting the lifestyle of any fashion guru, retaining a classic sensibility with a modern urban edge. Richard incorporates beautiful knitwear, Italian leathers and soft sheepskin utilising a warm colour palate to distinguish this new range.

Chocolate City… a global village, in one label.
