Fresh faced country girl, Lauren Fisher, is the lucky Australian chosen by Elite Model Look, the world’s largest model search, to represent her country in the internationally acclaimed 2012 Elite Model Look World Final to be held in Shanghai hosted by Elite Model Management Europe. Renowned for making supermodels including Claudia Schiffer and Linda Evangelista famous, Elite Model Management has decided, after seven years, to once again search for a talented Australian girl to launch onto the international stage.

Created in 1983, The Elite Model Look competition has launched the careers of numerous models, and discovered some of the most renowned international faces including supermodels such as Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bundchen, Diane Kruger, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Charlotte di Calypso, Constance Jablonski, Sigrid Agren, Kelly Moreira & Fei Fei Sun.

Home grown and 16 year old Lauren Fisher, from Indigo Valley, near Albury Victoria, was chosen from a national talent hunt conducted by the newly appointed head of the Elite Model Look Australia Competition - Greg Tyshing. Lauren will compete against over 70 finalists from 60 countries in the annual Elite Model Look International competition in Shanghai on December 1.

Accompanied by Greg Tyshing and her mother Jane, Lauren is excited to make her way to Shanghai and that her sister Eliza and Manager Stephen Bucknall, Director of Bucknall Management/FRM will be joining them for the Final Gala on December 1. Being her first time overseas, Lauren said: ‘It’s always been my dream to become a leading talent within the modeling industry both at home and overseas, so to be provided with this ultimate opportunity is very exciting for me and will no doubt create a wonderful path for my future career.”

Manager Bucknall said: “Discovering Lauren has been a highlight of our year and we are thrilled that she will be competing as a Finalist in the Elite Model Look Competition in Shanghai, as we are sure that it will assist in further expanding her work further afield both locally and internationally.”

Fully understanding that Shanghai won't be all lipstick and hairspray. Lauren added: “We've seen the schedule and there are 16-hour days of preparations, photo shoots and rehearsals, which I am ready to take on.”

After a seven year absence for Australia (sisters Jacqueline & Georgia Carr represented Australia in the 2005 EML International Final), Elite Model Look will once again be travelling Australia in early 2013 to hold regional heats throughout the country. The Heats will produce Finalists from each of the 11 cities with regional winners being flown to Melbourne in late August 2013 to compete in the Elite Model Look National Final that will be the closing event of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week in early September 2013.

The overall winner of the EML National Final will be flown to Shanghai, to compete in the Elite Model Look World Final later in 2013. Elite Model Look Australia will also be also looking for the next Aussie male supermodel. The national male winner will get the chance to be placed with major agencies, both in Australia & internationally.
