:: Spotlight :: Fashionassassin unveils new season's collection in Sydney

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Alex Zabotto-Bentley, creator of FASHIONASSASSIN unveiled his 2006/2007 summer offering, “Lost Horizon” at Hugo’s Lounge in King’s Cross recently, to a star-studded audience of Sydney’s who’s who for a high-fashion, high-energy evening.

FASHIONASSASSIN yet again produced a fast-paced, colourful parade drawing inspiration from Island Militia. The collection incorporates many of the forgotten emblems mixed back with vintage Spanish wallpaper prints.

With guests such as Peter Morrissey, Jayson Brunsdon, Mink Sweeny, Evan Hasmikali, Bella Serventi, Alex Dimitriades, Tiffani Wood, Belinda Mathieson, and many more, the parade kicked off with an upbeat, flourish of music provided by the ‘next big thing’ DJ Tenzin.

The air glistened with glamour as twenty divine sun kissed models made their way down the catwalk out in the night air. Chiselled males strutted and gorgeous girls sashayed with striking hair styles by Schwarzkopf, complimented with flawless complexions and cherry stained lips courtesy of Napoleon.

After his upcoming show at the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, FASHIONASSASSIN heads overseas to showcase the brand in New York for Fashion Week, San Francisco’s Fashion Week, London and the rest of Europe.

The world better prepare, the Fashion Assassin has just begun.

Here are some highlights from the launch.
