By: Carmine Pascuzzi

One of the highlights of the recent Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2007 was to see Alex Zabotto-Bentley explode back onto the official schedule with a sassy, strong signature collection for Spring Summer 2007/08 – DIRTY DISCO.

FASHIONASSASSIN has certainly matured but rest assured… this is one label that will always remain cutting-edge. DIRTY DISCO takes inspiration from the dance floors of the world. From Rio to London, Paris to Tokyo; this collection encapsulates all things luxe.

Highlights include shimmering printed silks in eye-popping colours, gold knitted lurex batwing dresses, overprinted canvas micros and foil tagged jerseys. For the guys it’s about street and sport; signature print tees in brash colours, drill urban-army pants, sports jackets and short shorts.

FASHIONASSASSIN also unveiled its new GOLD COLLECTION - a capsule fashion range with a sexy, fanciful mood - for the first time this season. The more premium GOLD COLLECTION is be made up of mainly dresses and features floaty, exclusive print silks and satins. Short and stylish, the first installment is based on costume jewel colours of cobalt, gold, lilac and bronze.

Sony Cyber-shot and Vogue Eyewear adorned models to give a little extra attitude and complete the FASHIONASSASSIN look.

Here are some shots of the collection, backstage, and after-party.
