The first L'Oreal Paris Runway show at Waterfront City, Docklands was presented on Monday, February 27, 2006.

The featured designers were:
Easton Pearson, Jayson Brunsdon, Mad Cortes, Martin Grant, Nicola Finetti, and Toni Maticevski.

The collections epitomised style and elegance, particularly with Martin Grant leading the way in the fine tailoring and sophisticated look. The old style 40s/50s look was evident as one could picture the “femme fatale” of the time, showing herself to be the lady of the moment. This image was well captured.

Black was the colour that symbolised Nicola Finetti's elegant range. The mini dresses were adventurous and finely detailed. Easton Pearson has grown significantly in recent years and their bohemian edge was well supplied in their parade. A good collection of colours and textures are placed in some terrific new shapes for the winter season.

Jayson Brunsdon has developed his own bold image and the sexy old-time look, complete with blues, greys, and blacks, was well received.

Mad Cortes has come a long way from winning a New Designer Award a couple of years ago. We saw a dark blue dress with a matching bow, a black suit with sleeves pushed up, and a generally refined mood in the clothes. It ended on a colourful note though, with a slip dress in scarlet with floral arrangement
