More than 550 glamorous fillies, and a few fashionable colts, flocked to Flemington for the annual VRC Festival of Racing Fashion Lunch, an official event of the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Leading Australian and international designers teamed their latest runway creations with millinery masterpieces of the season, to present a spectacular autumn racewear collection.

Fashion designers included Karen Millen, Lisa Ho, Nicola Finetti, Vixen, Hugo Boss and Leopold. Milliners included Kim Fletcher, Melissa Jackson and Serena Lindeman.

Hosted by the Seven Network’s Rebecca Maddern, the event was a success. Also in attendance were the reigning Miss World Victoria Rian Uygun and Mr World Australia Harley von Moger and Seven Network fillies Mia Greves and Kelly Landry.

The Atrium looked beautiful in an impressive setting of blues and whites creating a fresh and bright atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a superb two-course lunch and were treated to the impressive vocal talents of Vika & Linda.

Guests also had the opportunity to donate funds to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation by taking part in the ‘Silent Silver Auction’ of three fabulous headpieces handcrafted especially for the occasion by our milliners.
