Designers brought a stylish, ‘must have’ factor to Runway 5. Classy, yet edgy, designs were on offer with a list of Bettina Liano, Extinct, Hussy, Joveeba, Nicolangela, Nina Maya, This is Genevieve, Wayne Cooper and White Suede.
White Suede featured the edgy sharp-shoulders statement along with their leather, which Bettina Liano also echoed in her leather shorts. Liano’s range also took on the trend of underwear as outerwear, with a stunning bodice strapless that oozed sexiness, while being trendy.
This is Genevieve displayed leggings with the ostrich feather jacket making a statement as a come-back. Hussy gave out military orders with silk cargos teamed with a double-breasted cropped blazer. Nina Maya’s range embraced a floral affair and Joveeba adapted the harem pant to a skinny leg.
For the men, Extinct showed the layered look, with glasses an optional, yet desirable, accessory. We also saw the introduction of lighter coats and trenches for men. Nicolangëla’s collection exuded elegance with stunning crystal detailing. Wayne Cooper always provides great value with his black leather and a particularly classy purple number.
