:: Spotlight :: LOreal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2006 National Finals

L'Oreal Professionnel staged another terrific night's entertainment at their L'Oreal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2006 National Finals, held at Palms at Crown in Melbourne.

The annual gathering of some of Australia's best hairdressers is a prestigious occasion and, after months of State Finals, it was time to announce the big winners as judged by industry icons. One of the esteemed judges is Andrew Barton, the International Creative Director of SAKS. He was a special guest on the night where he presented his own award and provided a special demonstration of his style.

The show was hosted by radio identities Hamish and Andy, and contained acrobats, dancers, models, a performance by TV Rock, and the demonstrations.

When it was time to announce the winner of the big award, a close decision meant that well-liked Victorian hairdressers - John Anthony Salon in Hampden - was announced as the Australian L'Oreal Professionnel Colour Trophy winner for 2006. An excited Michelle Anthony and her team were thankful to win as they've been in the business for many years and built their salon into a top-class business.

This year L'Oreal Professionnel supported the Starlight Children's Foundation with over $16,500 from hairdresser's entry fees being donated to the charity.
