:: Spotlight :: Motorola Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2006 at the QV Complex

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

For three consecutive days - September 7, 8, and 9 - Albert Coates Lane at QV was transformed into a striking canvas of colour, fashion and celebrity spotting, as eight leading Australian retailers showcased the latest in trends and styles, straight from the catwalks of Milan, Paris and Melbourne!

Starting at 12.30pm each day, Albert Coates Lane came alive as an instore catwalk in an unexpected burst of fashion activity, as their most reputable designer retailers officially launched their latest Spring Summer collections by showcasing styled outfits in their actual store windows - during a 15 minute snapshot show.

Visitors saw models leap off the catwalk to create the ultimate ‘window shopping’ experience. These models became moving mannequins in the windows of QV’s Albert Coates Lane. Living dolls in the latest Spring/Summer’06 collections from your favourite designers: a sight that had to be seen to be believed!

With a line up of the who’s who of Australian and International Fashion, QV - the city within a city, set the days alight with the latest seasonal collections from Cactus Jam, Wayne Cooper, Third Millennium, Christensen Copenhagen, Charlie Brown, Dizingof, Sashia and MNG.

Albert Coates Lane blended style and rhythm during the already jam packed program as DJ’s mixed up the latest in international and local beats live, creating a funky and electric atmosphere.
