Q & A

Q. What is your family background?

A. I'm the fifth of seven children from Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Q. Did you grow up in your early teens wanting to be a model?

A. On and off, I was interested in it but never got serious about it until I hit 21.

Q. What have you discovered / learnt from the modelling scene?

A. I have learned different photography techniques, cool make-up and hair tricks, and how to make different emotions by using my eyes!

Q. Career highlights to date?

A. Being selected for a Maxim closed casting in New York City; being in that room of women was such an honour.

Q. Favourite hobbies?

A. Cooking, listening to music, yoga, going to the gym, and modelling, of course!

Q. Favourite music?

A. I love Cat Power, Rolling Stones, the Weekend, Jay-Z, and old music like Sam Cooke, Otis Redding etc.

Q. Favourite films?

A. The Life of David Gale, The 25th Hour, True Romance, Scent of a Woman.

Q. What is your fashion sense?

A. I love things that show off my curves. I love dresses and heels because I'm such a girlie girl! And I love glamorous gowns for fancy events!

Q. Beauty tips?

A. I always wash my face and use an exfoliator on my face and body once a week. I use La Mer on my face, Vaseline on my lips, and Vitamin E on my body. I love Benefit Mascara called “yes they're real” and Too Faced Lip injection to make my lips look pouty and full.

Q. Advice for young girls aspiring to be models?

A. Invest in your health and body; take care of your skin, hair, teeth, everything. Your body and face are your moneymakers as a model and you need to take that seriously. Also, study your favourite models, their poses, their facial expressions, etc to get a sense of how to convey an emotion through your expression. Don’t waste your time doing small time modelling contests, or letting just anyone take your pictures. If you have what it takes, go to an open call in New York City or Los Angeles - start a portfolio, and network with the right people. So many con artists in this industry just waste girls' time and promise to make them a supermodel and don’t. Be smart. Do your homework.

Q. Do you think a man should treat a woman like he does his car?

A. I think a man should treat a woman like his queen. A car is a material item, and there will always be a new model coming out in a few years. A man should want his woman to be his for life and put her on a pedestal.

Q. Favourite place visited?

A. Toronto

Q. Do you have a role model/s?

A. My parents

Q. People you've admired generally?

A. Sofia Vergara, Eileen Ford - anyone who has followed their dreams and never given up no matter what obstacles they had in front of them.

Q. Future ambitions?

A. To be a successful model, to be a household name, to ultimately get into acting. and be in major movies. I want to be respected, versatile, and to eventually be a business mogul with a perfume, clothing line etc. from my modelling and acting successes.
