Anna has distracted plenty of other people with her gorgeous looks and charisma. She has worked in helping to raise awareness for Breast Cancer, as well as earning terrific endorsements such as Mr Hobbs Coffee and Bathstore & More. Therefore, we are pleased to showcase Ana as our latest model profile subject.

Q & A

Q. What is your family background?

A. My name is Ana Pavel. I was born in Moldova, in one of the famous towns called Soroca. I grew up in the south of Moldova, in a family of 2 children, with hard working parents. I am very close to my family, love spending time with them, and feel very lucky to have them here with me in Ireland. We moved to Ireland when I was 13, but I always visit my home town. I had the best childhood so I really enjoy going back there.

Q. Did you grow up in your early teens wanting to be a model?

A. I was always a very enthusiastic and artistic child. There was this show on TV that involved kids dancing, singing andmodelling. I always wanted to be on it, but never got the chance so I used to organise a similar show out in the street every Sunday. The audience was huge. I am still amazed at how I was able to persuade all the kids to participate. I still have that influence on people though, I guess. I was dancing, modelling and singing pretty much all the time when I was a child. Modelling is something that comes naturally to me, I remember that I used to catwalk an amazing french outfit with an amazing red summer hat after that song Cheb Khaled - Aicha.

Q. What have you discovered / learnt from the modelling scene?

A. I was always a confident positive person and I think it is a very important quality to have if you wish to pursue a career in modelling and have your own business. It involves strong character, and hard work. Things that I learned while in this industry. You have to believe in yourself a lot and not compare yourself to others. There is a lot of competition out there. The best you can do is work hard and be strong and have personality. It is a big factor, and something that will differentiate you from competition. Ignore and distance yourself from negativity, and work very hard.

Q. Career highlights to date?

A. I finished my Leaving Certificate in 2006, and went on to do a law degree, and also a design diploma. At the moment I have my own business “The FloweЯRoom by Ana Pavel”. Design is my passion. I won Miss UCD 2008, was 3rd place Miss Bikini Ireland, sponsor model Caris closet malahide, and Archie Lloyds hair extensions, and model for Assets Modelling Agency.

Q. Favourite hobbies?

A. Reading, online movies, brainstorming. I know its strange but I always brainstorm in my spare time for new ideas, whether its floral design or clothing design or style ideas. I have a huge passion for it. I also love crafts.

Q. Favourite music?

A. Mostly all pop/techno, and classical music. I have a huge love for very old Christmas themed songs - the likes of Andy Williams and Frank Sinatra.

Q. Favourite films?

A. I recently discovered a passion for Turkish soaps - Black Love is one that I adore. I enjoy romantic movies like The Notebook, and The Best Of Me. One of my favourites also is Armageddon. Also historical dramas like The Pianist and a recent Spanish movie Las Palmeras En La Nieve.

Q. Beauty tips?

A. Drink plenty of water, exercise, wash face twice daily and moisturise from head to toe every day. This is the key to keeping your skin soft and healthy. I use a very cheap cream Neutrogena for dry sensitive skin as a body lotion (love that it doesn't have a smell), and gives amazing results without the other effects. It is great for all skins especially if you are in the sun or tanning. I also use once a week an aloe vera face mask for hydration. Remember if you have oily combination your skin still needs hydration and this mask I am in love with, 100% aloe vera gel.

Q. What is your fashion sense?

A. I like classic style - love lace and pearls.

Q. What do you feel sexiest wearing?

A. I feel very sexy wearing my long lace robe. It is loose and flows like a dress but see through - all lace and few pearls. You will see more of it on my wedding day.

Q. Advice for young girls aspiring to be models?

A. My advice for young aspiring models: confidence, believe in your talent, in your strength, work hard and have an out going personality. If you want it go get it, and be yourself. Don't act like a star. Be down to earth and people will just be attracted to your personality. It is very important, and of course as a model you have to look good, so work very hard on that. Each girl finds with time their own way of achieving the results they want whether its their body image or image in general. My way is eating healthily and train hard! You are what you eat. Exercise is only about 20%; the other 80% is your food intake.

Q. What's the craziest thing that you've done?

A. The craziest thing I have ever done is I trespassed another hotel's grounds to attend a foam beach party. I was with my fiance on holidays in Turkey. in a 5-star hotel. On that night our hotel didn't have the foam party but the one beside us did, so as I was wearing heels my fiance took me on his back and we trespassed. It was very funny because we had to hide in the bushes to avoid any security guards, It was hilarious. We had a great night though, plenty of foam on the beach and yes I damaged my shoes.

Q. Favourite place visited?

A. The town where I was born - Soroca, Moldova. I had never seen it. I was born there only. When I did visit I fell in love with it. It is very picturesque and very close to my heart.

Q. Do you have a role model/s?

A. My mum. She is a very strong hard working and kind person. She keeps me motivated and she gives me the strength and will power.

Q. People you've admired generally?

A. Vladimir Putin (such a clever and powerful man), Olivia Palermo ( for her style), Angelina Jolie (for her beauty inside and out, her kindness, strength and humanitarian qualities).

Q. Future ambitions?

A. I want to become an established and well known model/designer.
