Q & A

Q. What is your family background?

A. I grew up in a small mountain town thirty minutes from the nearest grocery store and a place where becoming a professional model seemed like a distant dream.

Q. Did you grow up in your early teens wanting to be a model?

A. I always enjoyed modelling for photos when I was a teen. I still had not decided what I wanted to be when I grew up, so to speak. At the time I never dreamed I would be able to do modelling professionally.

Q. What have you discovered / learnt from the modelling scene?

A. I have learned to create your own image that you try to convey. I have a unique touch that makes photos with me special.

Q. Career highlights to date?

A. Some of my highlights to date have been modelling at truly incredible places such as world famous resorts and modelling for fine clothing stores featuring hand made clothing in vintage styles.

Q. Favourite hobbies?

A. Some of my hobbies include hiking, photography, and interior design.

Q. Favourite music?

A. My favourite music is without a doubt Fleetwood Mac.

Q. Favourite films?

A. My favourite movies are Titanic, Indiana Jones, and Pretty in Pink

Q. What is your fashion sense?

A. I would say my fashion sense is classic like the style of 1950s and early 1960s high society.

Q. Beauty tips?

A. For beauty tips I would say always pay attention to your hair. Sometimes you should go minimal make-up. If you paint your entire face it can look like that you're a doll and not a person.

Q. Advice for young girls aspiring to be models?

A. Some advice I have for aspiring models is to cultivate your own image. Think of yourself as an actor and the photographer as your director. Read your lines and do your moves as to help the photographer achieve their vision. The small things you can do with your expression; the fine details of your movements allow you to express yourself.

Q. Do you think a man should treat a woman like he does his car?

A. I think a man should treat a woman better then he would treat his car. Still take care of her as he would his car but cherish her more then he would any vehicle. In a relationship we need to bring equally as much love and support as we can; not just simply looking beautiful as a nice car is.

Q. Favourite place visited?

A. My favourite place I have visited was the Caribbean, I love the ocean.

Q. Do you have a role model/s

A. My role model would be Marilyn Monroe. She was never afraid to be herself and not conform.

Q. People you've admired generally?

A. I generally admire those in the Armed Forces. I tear up when I hear stories of such bravery in defence of our country.

Q. Are there any issues that you feel strongly about and would like to briefly discuss?

A. Some issues I feel strongly about is equality among races and genders. We are all on this planet together. These petty differences need not separate us anymore.

Q. Future ambitions?

A. My dream is to be featured in a internationally distributed magazine such as Vogue, Rolling Stone, or Esquire. I would be happy just to be a small photo for a shampoo or something somewhere in the back, but to be featured would make me feel that I had made it.
