Q & A

Q. What is your family background?

A. Australian through and through. I am sure one of us from way back jumped on a boat somewhere!!

Q. Did you grow up in your early teens wanting to be a model?

A. I grew up in my teens wanting to play music. I am a musician at heart! Modelling kind of sneaked up on me, but I love it!

Q. What have you discovered / learnt from the modelling scene?

A. A lot of things! Most importantly to be yourself! To become well acquainted with rejection and be aware that it is never about you. The casting agents are looking for something in particular, if you land the job GREAT; if you didn't, it's got nothing to do with you not being good enough. It's just that someone fitted the position better. You will get your time to shine. Also, be a good networking agent! Be the type of person you want to work with! In this day and age, knowing the right people and having the right attitude can do wonders!

Q. Career highlights to date?

A. Whenever I am able to make the cover of a published magazine, that's pretty insane.

Q. Favourite hobbies?

A. I love running and the outdoors! There is nothing better than the sting of cold fresh air in your nose! I love to cook, create tastes and fusions of flavour! I love music; writing it, listening, dancing to it! It's a form a freedom!

Q. Favourite music?

A. Amy Winehouse, Paolo Nutini, Ray Lamontage, James Bay

Q. Favourite films?

A. The Little Rascals, Minions, and anything that is usually a Disney/Pixar creation!

Q. What is your fashion sense?

A. Bipolar! I go from t-shirt and jeans to dresses and pumps in an instant! It really depends on how I am feeling, but my most frequent styling would be like a dude. I love to be comfortable and dude's have it so easy!

Q. Beauty tips?

A. Less is more! DO NOT BUY YOUR MAKE-UP BRUSHES FROM BUNNINGS (Hardware store). We can tell.

Q. Advice for young girls aspiring to be models?

A. BE WHO YOU ARE! With social media the way it is these days, it is only a matter of time before your unique look comes around as a trend! From freckles, red hair, curvy bodies, bubble butts, alien faces; the list goes on. Stay true to who you are, because there is no one else like you!

Q. Do you think a man should treat a woman like he does his car?

A. No. A man should treat his woman like he would his mother, only 2093823049239563295823 times better. Bring back the chivalry please!

Q. Favourite place visited?

A. This is hard, I have been so fortunate to see a lot of the world! I don't have a favourite, more like category favourites! Most beautiful would be Maui; Historic vibes that give you chills is Belgium: Favourite party and good times had would be Las Vegas; and dream living location would be New York (it's a world inside a world, do before you die destination).

Q. Do you have a role model/s?

A. I feel everyone has something to offer or to learn from. Everyone in everyday life! I take lessons from everyone I come into contact with, so role models for me are everybody! Could be a dangerous statement I know, but truly, everyone has positive and negatives and you can draw the most ridiculous lessons from these!

Q. People you've admired generally?

A. Those who have reached up and out to the Universe and tried to change something or stand for what they believe in! This takes some serious courage (and balls!). I hope one day to do much the same!

Q. Are there any issues that you feel strongly about and would like to briefly discuss?

A. I could talk about this forever, but just a few things to get your mind ticking…

1. BE CONSCIOUS of your presence, your actions and the consequences it has on MOTHER EARTH. She does not NEED YOU, you NEED HER! Little changes in some things you do on a daily basis can impact in such a big way when it all snowballs together. Don't take for granted what she has given, be conscious and you will feel more alive for doing so!

2. YOU ARE ENOUGH. Never feel like you are not good enough. When you feel this way you have to stop and search within - you have a purpose, you have a gift and the negative thoughts are just testing your ability to get up and walk forward! You create your reality!

3. LOVE - need I say more!

Q. Future ambitions?

A. To let my light shine on what it is that I am to do in my time here! I am still searching for the activity that fills me up! I love being in the creative industry and being able to embody characters, play music, collaborate with other talented humans! I want to be able to bring more of these together!

If I could be a musician/model/actress/chef/fitness trainer/motivational speaker/life coach/team leader/animal activist/freedom writer I WOULD! But then again, why can't I just do it anyway?
