Q & A

Q. What is your family background?

A. My family background is Australian. If you went further back there would be a bit or Scottish and English in there.

Q. Did you grow up in your early teens wanting to be a model?

A. I always wanted to be a model but I never thought that I was photogenic or could do it, even in spite of everyone telling me I should.

Q. What have you discovered / learnt from the modelling scene?

A. I have discovered a lot about myself through modelling by gaining more confidence within myself and who I am as a person. I have learnt to always be kind to everyone you encounter even if they try to put you down. It's always important to remember that clients are looking for a particular look and not to take it personally. It has been amazing how many friends I now have from working with so many amazing creative people.

Q. Career highlights to date?

A. Highlights to date would be being the face of Amore Hair extensions which is seen worldwide. Following that would be the face of a clothing boutique.

Q. Favourite hobbies?

A. My favourite hobbies would be going to the gym and going out for dinner with friends.

Q. Favourite music?

A. My music is all over the shop. I can go from listening to Tupac straight into a bit of Taylor Swift. I guess it's fair to say that I love all music except for rock and metal.

Q. Favourite films?

A. I pretty much love all types of movies except horror. I'm a bit of a sook when it comes to horror or actually any movie with a touching storyline. One of my favourite movies would have to be The Help.

Q. What is your fashion sense?

A. I find that my fashion sense is always dependent on my mood. Sometimes I love to be all girly and feminine with my style, then other times I like to be a bit more edgy and have ripped jeans but then still pair it with an edgy heel.

Q. Beauty tips?

A. Best advice that I can give is know your products and skin type and wash your face twice a day. Also I find using any coconut products for hair and skin are amazing!

Q. Advice for young girls aspiring to be models?

A. My advice to young girls aspiring to be a model is stay true to yourself and be kind to everyone you encounter and always have a positive attitude. Also, do your research on photographers and if something doesn't make you feel okay, stick to your gut as it's always right. It doesn't do any harm either to contact other models to find out their own personal experiences.

Q. Do you think a man should treat a woman like he does his car?

A. Well, this is a weird one. Guys generally love and take quite good care of their car, however a car doesn't have feelings and you can't really take it out to dinner so I would hope a guy would treat you with respect and value you with love and respect.

Q. Favourite place visited?

A. My favourite place that I have visited would have to be San Francisco. It was just an amazing place and the liveliness of it was incredible.

Q. Do you have a role model/s?

A. I would have to say my role model would be my grandma. Although no longer here, but I know watching over me, she has always shown me the strength needed to believe in yourself. She had gone through so much in her life and always had a sense of humour with everything.

Q. People you've admired generally?

A. I always seem to admire people who have gone through amazing struggles in their life and have overcome them and become a better person for it. They are willing to share their story with others, whether it being a celebrity or a friend or even a photographer, model or make-up artist I have met along the way.

Q. Are there any issues that you feel strongly about and would like to briefly discuss?

A. I will only go into it briefly as I could go on forever but bullying, whether it be online or in person, is appalling and people don't realise how badly their words can affect another human being. Also animal abuse is another topic that really upsets me.

Q. Future ambitions?

A. My future ambitions would be for my modelling career to continue to grow and be able to travel as much as possible. Ideally to be paid to travel.
