Q & A

Q. What is your family background?

A. I come from a very large family. Some call us the natural breeders. We possess many talents throughout our family line: doctors, models, bicyclists, musicians, and psychics. We are deep, strong, and united. I am not sure exactly where we come, but I do know we hold very strong genes. I have 6 brothers and sisters, with me being the oldest at 21. They motivate me to be a better person every day, and I love them with my whole heart.

Q. Did you grow up in your early teens wanting to be a model?

A. The answer to that is no, I actually wanted to be a musician or a veterinarian. My passion lies with animals, for I always wanted a new pet almost every week it seemed like. I always knew I was photogenic or good in front of the camera. I never thought about pursuing a model career. Sometimes you don’t find your calling in life until your lead to the right place.

Q. What have you discovered/ learnt from the modeling scene?

A. I've learned a lot actually. I leaned the modelling isn't just about looking good in front of the camera. Modelling is an art and science within itself. You must set boundaries for yourself and know your limits for how far you’re willing to go. I've learned that you cannot let the opinion of others bring you down, and that being true to yourself is the most important thing in the end.

Q. Career highlights to date?

A. This past year my career has been in the spotlight. I won Miss June for calendar girl search for Mile 277. I won April icandy girl for 105.7 radio station and placed 8th in the tournament. I do promotions and campaigns for Bud Light and American Honey, and these last few months I have ran for Playboy and placed 17th in their contest. I will be running again for the month of January (My birthday month). I have been featured in Thunder Roads magazine as well as Playboy's websites. I recently did my first non-speaking acting role in the TV show “Take me to the River”, which was directed by the amazing Joe Mason. I have a lot more awesome opportunities coming my way and can’t wait to see what doors open up for me next.

Q. What are your favourite hobbies?

A. I don’t have a lot of free time on my hands but when I do, I love to make scrapbooks and create artsy crafts. I have such a creative side to me, and I love to decorate. I also spend most of my time at home with my two furry babies (Hollie and Harper) who keep me busy.

Q. Favourite music?

A. I don’t exactly have a favourite genre of music. I listen to everything, because each genre has its own unique personality to it. Depending on my attitude or mood that day depends what type of music I listen to. My most recently played song on my iPod is “Play it again” by Luke Bryan. Country is one my favourite genres of music because I can relate to it a lot. If you limit yourself to one genre of music you don’t get to really appreciate the true meaning of what music really sounds like.

Q. What are your favourite films?

A. This question is so broad because choosing a favourite film for me is limitless. I am a little kid at heart so a lot of my childhood movies are still some of my favourites, like The Lion King. I still enjoy watching it till this day. I love the movie Backdraft because my father is a firefighter. A few of mine include:Coyote Ugly, Look Who’s Talking, Raising Arizona, The Wolf of Wall Street, and The Little Princess. I love action packed films and comedies. My least favourite films are horror. They give me nightmares.

Q. What is your fashion sense?

A. My fashion sense is whatever I feel comfortable in, confident it and, look good in. I must say I am a pretty bland person when it comes to fashion. I like to wear a lot of plain tops and make them look cute and fashionable by adding jewellery. I like doing this because I’m creating my own look. I use my personality and uniqueness to bring that out. I feel sexiest in comfortable clothing; like baggy pants and a big t-shirt. I don’t like to stray too far from my comfort zone. On a night out some cute skinny jeans with high boots and a simple tunic does it for me. To me less is more, so I tend to keep it simple.

Q. Beauty tips?

A. The one and most important thing I cannot express more is Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize! It is the single most important thing you can do for your skin. It keeps your skin hydrated and looking radiant. You will age less fast than those who do not use a moisturizer. To ensure your facial skin stays blemish-free, look for moisturizers that are oil-free and non-comedogenic, or designed not to clog pores. Even if you struggle with breakouts, you should still use a moisturizer.

Q. Any advice for young girls aspiring to be models?

A. One thing I’d say is don’t become someone you’re not. Modelling can and will change some people. Make sure it’s really something you want to do. Be prepared for let-downs and always know how to get back up from them. If your trying to get into modelling have some professional photographs done of you and get a portfolio started. Then send some into modelling agencies. Never give up. If it's something you know you want to do, then go for it! Always follow your dreams!

Q. Do you think a man should treat women like he does his car?

A. Absolutely not! A man should treat his women with love, respect, trust, and compassion. It would be kind of silly to look out your front door watching a man talking, hugging, or kissing his Oldsmobile. Cars are toys, women are not! That is the main difference. With each luxurious car a man has purchased, he takes the same steps and actions, creating a bond with each car as though it were a woman. This is not how a man should treat his women. You create one bond with one women, not multiple women like changing lanes in the fast lane!

Q. Your favourite place visited?

A. Although only 21 years of age I have travelled a lot. I have been to California twice, Mexico, Florida (four times), and many other States along the way. I cannot say that one is better than the other. All of them are beautiful and have so many things to offer. But if I had to pick my favourite, it would have to be Mexico. With the white beaches, and clear blue seas; it was truly paradise. Waking up every day felt like a dream. I would not hesitate to go back one day!

Q. Do you have a role model?

A. As simple minded as it may seem, I do not. I have never really looked up to anyone or anything. I like to keep to myself a lot and be my own person. I have had mentors and people who inspire me, but never a role model. I don’t care much about what’s going on in the celebrity lifestyle to really have one nor do I have anyone in my family who I tend to really look up too. They all have some outstanding achievements, but I have learned to do what makes me happy.

Q. People you admire?

A. My grandmother was as beautiful as she was sweet. She taught me a lot about life and what it really meant to respect you as women. She was always the life of the party. Her wicked sense of humour and her intelligent ways; I have always admired. She had a kind heart and was always so giving. She’d always find anything to give us even if it was an old rock she found outside. She was one the strongest women I knew and I hope one day I can become half the women she was.

Q. Are there any issues that you feel strongly about and would like to briefly discuss?

A. Like I said before, my passion is animals. They are such innocent little souls with huge hearts. I believe that if you own an animal (cat or a dog) that the state should require the owner to get them spayed or neutered. This helps the over population of unwanted animals in shelters. Each year over four million innocent animals are subject to euthanasia. Every last one of the millions of animal deaths at animal shelters and in the streets, alleyways, fields, basements, and backyards that occur every year, could be prevented through spaying and neutering.

Q. What are your future ambitions?

A. I am going to let my modelling take me as far as it will go. I have a lot of great opportunities coming my way and hope to achieve the goal of possibly being featured in Maxim or Sports Illustrated Magazine in the near future. I would also love to become a Playboy Miss Social girl. I have had offers to do movies, promotions, and print ads. I am a very ambitious person and I want to be successful in all that I do, and I hope to become a role model for those trying to do the same thing.
