**Wrap up of Collections Launch event**

The Face of Myer Jennifer Hawkins and Myer Ambassadors Kris Smith and Kate Peck helped launch the Myer Autumn Winter 2014 Collections in front of 350 VIP guests in Melbourne. The spectacular parade showcased 43 models, and over 180 new season looks by Myer’s stable of leading Australian and International designers.

The Myer AW14 Fashion Launch creative vision was inspired by the city centric ‘The Word on the Street’ current advertising campaign, expressing the sexy sophistication that the city owns throughout the night. A dramatic digital environment transformed Myer Mural Hall into a dark, edgy streetscape by night. A sixteen metre digital landscape displayed a super-sized city skyline which models wove their way through wearing this season’s coolest looks whilst descending to the urban streets below.

Jennifer Hawkins wowed on the red carpet wearing Yeojin Bae. The Face of Myer then made a stunning entrance in Toni Maticevski to open the show and later took to the catwalk four more times wearing gorgeous designs from Aurelio Costarella, Arthur Galan AG, Yeojin Bae and Roland Mouret. Kris Smith wore newly signed Myer menswear designer Brent Wilson on the red carpet and later appeared on the catwalk four times showcasing leading Myer menswear brands Arthur Galan AG, Blaq, Autonomy and Politix.

Amongst the designers in attendance were Sarah-Jane Clarke (sass & bide), Gabrielle Manning & Vanessa Manning (Manning Cartell), Toni Maticevski, Kym Ellery, Yeojin Bae, Jayson Brunsdon, Aurelio Costarella, Peter Alexander, Wayne Cooper, Arthur & Mimi Galan, Brent Wilson and newly signed Alex Perry.

Among the 350 guests in attendance were also a number of Melbourne’s most fashionable personalities and celebrities including Myer Ambassadors Laura Dundovic and Lauren Phillips, Stephen Bucknall (FRM Model Management), Glen Moriarty and wife Michelle, Scherri-Lee Biggs, current Miss Universe Australia Olivia Wells, Harry Kewell and wife, Melanie Vallejo, Matthew Richardson, Chris & Rebecca Judd, Sophie Van Den Akker and Zoe Badwi.

Complementing the fashion was the stunning beauty look created by Napoleon Perdis. Napoleon produced modern yet understated makeup that saw a return to a richer, stronger colour palette for Winter. The eye was smoky, but in a softer, more ethereal way, paired with defined contours on the cheeks and a defined brow. Matte textures were used on the skin, eyes and lips, keeping the look fresh and subtle. Kevin Murphy created hair looks inspired by current ‘it’ girls and style icons such as Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss. The style was sleek and polished, yet effortless embodying the strong, modern woman of today.
