Rosemount VIP Bar held it's new Botanical range of wines infused with cucumber, apple and blood orange. The new range is extremely tasty and deserves to be trialled. The entrance well decorated with a live greenery lattice with splashes of the fruits used in the wines, another job well done by Nikki Andrews and her team to promote Rosemount. MAC the official makeup sponsor who made the models look spectacular. Redken, the official hair stylists, kept the models looking sleek and guests looking wonderful with a complimentary hairdressing tent. Miro House ‘as always’ had the seating arrangements and crowds under control. The ultimate catwalk parade report: All ladies will be going with the flow this summer. Springs flowing maxi gowns are floaty sheers and tiers of layers around the body and revealing as much as they conceal. Now comes the tangerine dream, zesty shades of orange are all the rage this season to give the ladylike look a vibrant youthful flair. You can tame your tangerine by adding a contrasting rich colour to compliment such as turquoise or hot pink to a glossy gold. The main look for the season is the gathering of pleats, and ruffles. Delicate drapes to add a stylish touch. Artful folds abound, from neat knife pleats to bookish box pleats and multi layered looks are creating new statements. These sleek pleats speak of uptown chic. For those who do not dare snow whites are a comeback for a fresh statement. Clean crisp whites pure as the driven snow gives an innocent feel and cool summer touch. Making the cut is tailored suits and ankle length pant. Distinguishing, delicate and structured formal shoulders. Accessories to match one huge bold piece of jewellery in a vibrant non matching colour, cut off ankle boots or perplex flats. Belts and matching tote handbags add a decorative edge. Monday RAFW: Zimmerman started the kickoff at North Sydney an Off Site location. Tuesday RAFW: Rachel Gilbert and Sara Phillips showed the feminine side to fashion. While Little Joe NY had the international model and celebrity guests with oozing fashion appeal. Wednesday RAFW: To start the day at OPT a fabulous designer Talulah hit the scene watch out for this brand. Thursday RAFW: TAFE NSW had ‘The Innovators ‘ show today fantastic new talent has emerged from the likes of Leah Hibbert and Anna Westcott. Friday RAFW: To end the week, a fantastic start with a comeback from Toni Maticevski one word ‘unbelievable’. This wraps Rosemount Australian Fashion Week for 2011. |
