:: Spotlight :: Australian Designers Shine For Starlight

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

On Thursday November 30, 2006 five dynamic Australian fashion designers will showcase their collections for the Starlight Children's Foundation's exclusive Five Designers Fashion Show, presented by Volkswagen. Wayne Cooper, Lisa Ho, Samantha Wills, Anna & Boy and Theodora & Martha will show hot summer designs from their latest collections at this not-to-be-missed event, to be held at the chic Hilton Hotel, Sydney.

In its second consecutive year, the Five Designers Fashion Show will be a night of high fashion, fun and entertainment while helping Starlight raise much needed funds to brighten the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children, and their familes, throughout Australia.

Featuring some of Australia's most glamorous models from Platform Model Management, with hair and make up sponsored by Toni&Guy and Napoleon Perdis, top Australian designers will treat guests to a world class fashion show while premium beer, fine wine, and delicious canapés are served. Actress and
MTV host Yvette Duncan will be the MC for the evening and Young Starlight Committee ambassador, Kate Waterhouse, will also be part of this special night.

Talented Australian designers have generously given up their time, and many suppliers have donated their goods and services to ensure Starlight raises vital funds to bring fun and laughter to sick kids at a time when they need it most. In the next 12 months, there will be 600,000 child admissions to hospitals across Australia. Currently, Starlight reaches only ‘1 in 3’ of these children. Generosity from the community at events like the Five Designers Fashion Show is crucial in helping Starlight achieve its goal of reaching all sick children throughout Australia.
