By: Carmine Pascuzzi

The Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival will be held on October 25, 2014 at Palmer Coolum Resort. Events include the Sunshine Coast Style Awards, inaugural Sunshine Coast Fashion Designer Awards & Hall of Fame, as well as the Group catwalk shows. Some of the exciting labels showcasing include Lorna Jane, Elizabeth de Varga, Hive, SUBvert, La’Or, Abby Rose, Sunflair, OPERA, Embellished Kaftans with the exciting list of up and coming designers constantly being announced.

The Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival is now in its seventh year and is recognised as the premiere fashion event in the region. In 2014 the event will move away from a fashion week modelled on every other, to create a boutique, high end event that will see the event, its designers and the region grow in strength and profile.

2014 will see the event condensed into a 24-48 hour fashion experience, (encompassing a week's worth of events), over one weekend. Positioned at the end of the global fashion week circuit, its growth over the next few years is ensured to become the final and celebratory destination for the industry on its annual pilgrimage of concrete jungles.

2014 will showcase designs in a striking manner, the likes of which has never been seen in the region, with the event committed long term to great design, loyal relationships and showcasing the elite of the Sunshine Coast, Australia and in the future globally.

Held on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia each year, the region is recognised globally as a millionaire’s playground. The region is the perfect location for fashionista’s participating in the national and international fashion week circuits to undertake business while enjoying a glamorous resort environment.

While the Sunshine Coast and Noosa Heads specifically are best known for its beaches and laid back atmosphere for the uber wealthy, it is also a space of glamour and prestige. Multi-million dollar homes, yachts and private airports abound along with the odd privately owned island. It has also been the cosmopolitan hub for the creative industries for some time, with renown and award winning artists, sculptures, musicians and fashion designers calling the area home and living incognito.

The Sunshine Coast boasts its own international airport for those lucky enough to be flying in from New Zealand or other Australian states. Disembarking from a flight to be welcomed by fresh air, sun and palm trees. The major international airport of Brisbane is just 1 ½ hours away, with both public and private transfers available.

All of this has been achieved without extensive development, leaving the area to retain an environmentally sound ethos while achieving eclectic glamour and five star facilities.

The Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival showcases designs in a striking manner. A seamless expression of taste in fashionable design and fashionable living alongside environmental and ethical design components.

The Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival will be held on October 25, 2014 at Palmer Coolum Resort.
