Nikki's passion and her eleven years of being involved with the fashion industry, created her love for accessories. Always being one for developing her own sense of style, Nikki set out in her own journey to create Dejoie, a jewellery range that caters to the true wants and needs of the modern women, being able to achieve high fashion on a budget. The Dejoie range is designed and directed by Nikki Phillips herself and manufactured in Indonesia, using on the finest materials and solid silver. Nikki spent much time in Bali sourcing materials and working along side the team there to create these stunning collections and strives herself on being the soul of Dejoie. Nikki’s influences behind her designing are general day-to-day living and of coarse you the modern man and women that with each step inspire each design. She said, “Collection one, was mainly my precious range as most pieces are delicate and set staples for classic dressing, where as collection two plays more with shapes and oversized pieces to express ones personality more.” From the first classic collection, designed on staples with a carefree feel to the inspiration for the second collection being from futuristic images and meaning full figures. Phillips continues to show us she knows her fashion. Being independent and confidant herself, dejoie seems to continue to follow in the creator’s footsteps, by each piece being able to tell a story. With oversized designs, genuine leather and using gold and silver materials these pieces are bold and blatant yet truly understated as the wearer can easily mix, match and layer numerous pieces without them being lost, Dejoie is about being independent and making a fashion forward statement. Dejoie has come to the market with a range that embodies the true essence of glamour with the versatility of the modern woman. Campaign Two, which features Nikki Phillips, Erin McNaught and Renee Bargh, is certain to attract attention with a rock ‘n’ roll feel each girl along with dejoie jewellery portrays and oozes there own strong personalities. Inspiration for the second collection came from futuristic images, day-to-day lifestyle and most importantly from the public. Collection two is also about layering the collection's stunning pieces with each other giving you the opportunity to dress simply and accessorise fabulously, giving the ability to keep it simple whilst oozing elegance, class and simply irresistible glamour. Dejoie stands by its word of being independent and confident. After a successful first six months, Nikki has decided to launch a men’s range. Nikki explained, “ My men’s collection is one I found easier to create and design then the women’s. The first men’s collections is rugged and relaxed, choosing shapes such as bolts and washers with the inspiration coming from hands on jobs such as builders and mechanics with a great use of ebony and rubber.” A small first collection of only eight pieces will be launched in May/June 2010, Dejoie prides itself on its small quanties in each design to ensure quality and exclusivity. Each piece has been hand made and feature only the best materials using solid silver and leather. Every piece in this collection is made with care and love and most pieces are hand engraved for that final finishing touch. The campaign which is set to hit the Dejoie website in a few weeks is photographed by Steven Chee and portrays in the shots a relaxed men’s range by Nikki that is sure to be a popular one.
