:: ‘I Am’ 2010 Summer CollectionBy: Leena ThompsonCargo Bar at King Street Wharf, Sydney held the first 2010 summer fashion collection from the new label ‘I Am’. A huge elevated catwalk started from one end of the club to the other. Guests filled the over crowded room to have a glimpse of this new amazing fashion label.
The designs and collection were a sleek jungle theme. Each piece was unique and well designed.’ I Am’ were not frightened to bring out bold colours and patterns. The simplicity of the designs are very chic and eye catching. The collection consisted of dresses, shorts, tops, boho pants and blazers a fashion style Sydney has been lacking. The dresses and separates would fit effortlessly in any girl’s wardrobe.
The final piece of the show had the crowd shocked when the model casually walked down the runway with a diamond python snake draped around her neck. The snake received more attention than the stunning snakeskin dress the model wore. Three young women started this label eight months ago, Claire Murphy, Polly Epov and Brigid Whelan. The girls were extremely excited to see the success of their new collection amongst the fashionista crowd.
‘I Am’ have developed an amazing new label that will lead them to a bigger and brighter future. The talented girls have created a look fashionistas will be wearing.
