:: Illionaire collection

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Ben Woodcock and Kat Grace are the creative force behind the youthful label Illionaire each producing men's and women's collections. Between cocktails, artworks and dreams, the double act stumbled across fashion as a means to harness their imagination. Both from Western Australia, Woodcock comes from an architectural background working with glass and light, the label. Rekindling the old school notion that to be cool is to be “ill”. Revamping your parent's wardrobe. Remaking old school clothes that you wish weren't thrown out and giving a modern twist to old school favourites.

With this in mind and both their creative minds in overdrive the couple has produced over five collections to date. Each collection drives them forward to improve and better the last. Ben and Kate said, “We do this because every day is different and with every challenge there is a reward… "there is something sickeningly satisfying when it all comes together at the end of a collection. It is inspiring much like watching a cake rise in the oven. As the heat and pressure morphs the ingredients, things begin to take form and that's where the fun begins.”
