:: Low Luv by Erin WassonBy: Carmine PascuzziAmerican model and international style icon Erin Wasson is excited to announce the highly anticipated release of the Low Luv Spring 2012 Collection in Australia. The best-selling brand was first launched in 2008 and is timelessly tribal, exotic and distinctively streetwise. Inspired by Wasson’s imagined walk through the Middle East, the pieces from the ‘Spring 2012 Collection’ seem like artifacts of that trip- ancient coins, ropes and horse hoofs feature prominently, and an Afghani inspired labradorite stone pendent ties up the flawless collection. Using gold and silver plated metals and a beautiful palette of coins and stones to decorate an array of pieces; Wasson’s distinctively streetwise style speaks through each piece, putting a modern spin on her Middle Eastern inspiration for the new collection. The talented model/designer is also the creative director behind the incredibly natural campaign starring her and the new stunning 2012 collection. The look book was shot by photographer Dan Martenson who has previously collaborated with Alexander Wang and shot campaigns for H & M and Converse One Star. Erin Wasson has had a successful career as an international model, gracing the covers of countless magazines including Australian, French and Spanish Vogue, Allure and Elle. Versatile and hardworking, she has walked international runways for A-list designers; from Armani, Balenciaga, Chloe, Gucci and appeared in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show in 2007. Of her foray into design Wasson said, “I have too much going on in my brain to just be a face, an image, without a voice behind it.” The Low Luv collection will be available in selected boutiques nationally from February 2012 with prices ranging from $49-$219.
