Melissa, the original jelly sandal, has just celebrated thirty years of unique design, quality and clever collaborations. With the first design created in 1979, Melissa has since become one of the world’s leading footwear companies. Successfully combining fashion, design and art with environmental and social awareness, Melissa has also collaborated with some of the most respected names in fashion such as; Jean- Paul Gaultier, Alexandre Herchcovitch, the Campana Brothers, British Designer / Art Director; Judy Blame and of course Vivienne Westwood.

Following hot on the heels of the fun and flirty spring 09 collection, Melissa introduces a high summer range which mixes tropical colour, glamour and ‘under the sea’ inspiration. To celebrate thirty years, Vivienne Westwood, has created another head-turning collection. The dramatic Lady Dragon Ball features oversized metallic spheres which come in a range of translucent blues, purples and greys. For a look that’s hot off the runway Vivienne Westwood’s Wings are the ultimate in sexy summer wedges, whilst the sought after Lady Dragon Hearts makes a return this summer in a new range of gorgeous colours including; Gold, Grey, purple and cerise pink.

Melissa’s staple range draws inspiration from ‘under the sea’ with intricate coral detailing on styles such as treasure and Coral the range offers a complimentary mix of muted and acid tones.

The new summer collection by Melissa will be available in select boutiques and online
