The launch of emerging label Mina & Katusha’s Spring/Summer Collection "amour” fulfilled its promise to offer the Melbourne fashion industry a secret love affair. Seducing more than one hundred of Melbourne’s fashion-savvy clique, Mina & Katusha showcased “amour’s” effortless chic garments, against a Melbourne city backdrop at Berth Bar and Restaurant, Docklands, to highlight the collections’ underlying feminine, versatile and unique tones.

Having rolled out a number of impressive parades, Mina & Katusha’s highly anticipated “amour” collection geared up to take the spotlight, with beautifully constructed and feminine garments injected with a stylish point of difference.

Set for a secret love affair, Mina & Katusha courted guests with champagne and canapés before treating them to a sneak-peak of its “amour” collection, wrapping-up by fulfilling the crowd’s fashion appetite with an exclusive opportunity to pre-order eye-catching pieces.

Conceived in 2008, Mina & Katusha is the brainchild of Melbourne based Katya Baxter and Sarina Zammit, a design duo dedicated to supporting the Australian fashion industry by creating and producing all collections in their home town. Katya said, “We are committed to diversifying our product range by capturing various segments of the high-fashion market, whilst ensuring that Mina & Katusha stays true to its home in Melbourne."

Mina & Katusha’s witty business strategies, fashion flair and innovative designs ensure that the Melbourne label is armed to take the fashion industry by storm, both on and off shore. Living up to its expectations, Mina & Katusha has caught the eye of agents overseas, with an invitation to participate in the Holy Grail of fashion events, New York Fashion Week, this year in September.

Sarina Zammit commented, “We are thrilled to be invited, it has been a dream to get to New York Fashion Week, and we intend to put in the hard work to ensure that the Mina & Katusha label makes an impression overseas and is embraced by the broader fashion community.”

Also drawing attention from its successful show in the 2009 Motorola Fashion Week, Mina & Katusha will participate in iSelect Fashion Aid Charity Gala later this year.

The Spring/ Summer collection, “amour”, houses pieces that truly capture Mina & Katusha’s versatile innovative and effortless chic design focus and will be available in stores from August 2010.
