Y-3 presented its Spring/Summer 2009 Men's & Women's collection on September 7 during New York Fashion Week at a raw venue in Chelsea.

Set against an atmosphere of sharp, extreme simplicity, the show's backdrop illuminated the inspiration for Y-3's Spring/Summer collection, which is a reflection upon the tradition of sport and quotes from a bygone era, inspired by its relaxed elegance and playfulness. Guests included Ellen Pompeo, Chris Ivery, Vincent Gallo, Sean Paul, Veronica Webb, Genevieve Jones, Casey Spooner, Amanda Hearst, and others.

In conjunction with their Spring/Summer presentation, Y-3 has unveiled its second New York flagship, a tribute to the ongoing success of the partnership of adidas' sport functionality and Yohji Yamamoto's innovative design. This new store, located on 92-94 Greene Street in Soho, comes on the heels of Y-3's New York monobrand store debut in the Meatpacking district, which opened in February 2008.
