“You Have A Nasty Habit Of Surviving”, a quote from Octopussy". It sums up much of the enduring action and character that is James Bond. This DVD tells the story of how James Bond has evolved in film.

“The James Bond Story” documents the impact and legacy of the remarkable series of films, with film clips and interviews from the first film in 1962 , “Dr. No”, until “The World Is Not Enough” in 2000. The DVD contains interviews with Bond leading ladies Maud Adams and Jane Seymour and Bond actors Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Brosnan. They explain the ups and downs of the film franchise over the years. Also, director Terence Young, producer Cubby Broccoli, and writer Ian Fleming follow the progression of the Bond character. Fleming is shown exclusively from his home Goldeneye in Jamaica.

There is good coverage of the gadgets with Q (Desmond Llewelyn). The story is narrated by Miranda Richardson. Roger Moore's anecdotes are very enjoyable, and there are many clips (and unusual out-takes and Bond bloopers). This action-packed documentary presents an in-depth look at the quintessential spy who has the license to kill. It's a great item for Bond fans.
