By: Carmine Pascuzzi

As the world's go-to source for all the glamour and excitement of the red carpet, E! kicks off its extensive coverage of Hollywood’s 2013 awards season in a big way when the network broadcasts live from the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. While the world watches, anchor and executive producer Ryan Seacrest, host Giuliana Rancic and E!’s unparalleled “Live from the Red Carpet” team of entertainment and style experts will connect pop culture fans to all the exciting action, glamorous fashion and memorable moments of the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.

E! promises interviews with the most sought-after stars from this year’s diverse range of films, plus the network's fan-favourite fashion coverage, including the popular GlamCam 360 and, for the first time at the Globes, the much buzzed-about Mani-Cam. This year's red carpet is stacking up to be one of the most memorable ever. Plus, E! will unveil the network's newest Red Carpet secret weapon, the Detail Cam, which allows the most detail-oriented coverage possible of the carpet's fashionistas, capturing jewels, shoes, clutches and dress details never before seen in such clarity. “Sounds of the Carpet” also returns, so that viewers can eavesdrop on those unedited, unfiltered red carpet conversations and organic moments that will be talked about for weeks to come.

On the day of the event, E!’s updated Red Carpet apps for iOS and Android devices will transform into the perfect “second screen experience” for the worldwide audience watching E!’s coverage with a homescreen featuring E!’s Instant GlamCam 360, the Heat Gauge data visualisation feature, and of course breaking news. The apps will also include an interactive and innovative Twitter stream that pulls in tweets from E!’s talent, relevant celebs from the event, and everyone chatting about the show through #eredcarpet (a hashtag that is always trending during E!’s coverage), allowing users to participate in those conversations in real time. With extensive reporting on-air, online and in the mobile space, entertainment fans around the world have never been this close to the red carpet before with E!’s coverage of the 70th Annual Golden Globe awards.

“Countdown to the Red Carpet” kicks off the day at 9:00am AEDT, featuring “Fashion Police” experts Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos. The hour will preview the upcoming Red Carpet event, with talk of the nominees and their work, plus predictions on the biggest trends of the night, and who is expected to sizzle and who might fizzle.

At 10:00am AEDT, E! goes “Live from the Red Carpet,” with anchor and executive producer Ryan Seacrest and host Giuliana Rancic chatting up the biggest names in film and television as the stars make their way down the Red Carpet and into the International Ballroom. On their way in, A-Listers will be stopping by E!'s one-and-only GlamCam 360, which continues to receive rave reviews from viewers and celebrities alike, providing an unparalleled 360-degree fashion view. Plus, for those who have “the goods,” E! will feature their new Mani-Cam, which allows fashionistas to show off their sassy nails. And don’t miss the reveal of E!’s latest red carpet addition: the Detail Cam. Kelly Osbourne and Ross Mathews return to deliver their expert fashion commentary from their perch at Glam Central Station.

Immediately following the awards ceremony, Giuliana Rancic will be talking with the big winners in E!'s special interview suite backstage at the Golden Globes Press Room as the E! “After Party” show kicks in to keep the celebration going. Terence Jenkins and Ross Mathews will be reporting from the hotel lobby, chatting with the celebrities moving between all the parties taking place at the hotel. The lobby of the Beverly Hilton is always a hotbed of post-awards show activity, and our team will make sure E! viewers don't miss one exciting moment. In addition, our hosts will share their special access to some of Hollywood’s hottest and hardest-to-get-into Golden Globe parties, including the NBC/E! fete, where Jason Kennedy will be reporting from live throughout the evening.

On Wednesday, January 16, a complete analysis of all the fashion do's and don'ts from this year's ceremony will be featured in the one-hour special, “Fashion Police: The 2013 Golden Globes.” Comedy icon Joan Rivers presents her notorious critiques and no-holds-barred commentary alongside her outspoken “Fashion Police” panel consisting of Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos.

Ryan Seacrest, Jay James, Gary Snegaroff and Eddie Delbridge serve as Executive Producers. E!'s Red Carpet coverage is a Ryan Seacrest Production.
