:: Spotlight :: Nissan Moonlight Cinema 2006/2007

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Every summer, Nissan Moonlight Cinema sets up the big screen in Australia’s most beautiful parks and gardens to create a dramatic backdrop for the very best in new release, classic and contemporary film favourites.

Located within the spectacular Botanic Gardens, Melbourne's Nissan Moonlight Cinema is again set to be the star attraction on this summer’s entertainment calendar.

The big screen will light up with the opening night screening of Volver on Thursday, December 14, 2006, with the season running until Sunday, March 11, 2007.

It’s a great pastime for many Australians - soak up the last rays of sunshine in beautiful gardens and parklands, kick back with friends, and watch the best in Australian and international cinema.

Taking a look at this season's schedule, you can take a romantic trip down memory lane with Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Or if hot new releases are more your scene, there’s Casino Royale and The Devil Wears Prada. If you prefer your cinema with a bit more edge, A Scanner Darkly is such an offering. For the documentary buffs who like their entertainment true to life there’s An Inconvenient Truth. And if you’ve lost that lovin’ feeling, take a step back in time to the 1980s with Top Gun.

Nissan Moonlight Cinema also continues its commitment to supporting Australian film with Kenny and Jindabyne among the Aussie offerings this summer.

You can spread out on a picnic rug or nestle up in a bean bed, while there is on-site catering offered.
