CALLING ALL FILMMAKERS

GET YOUR SHORT FILM IN NOW FOR THE 8TH ANNUAL BONDI SHORT FILM FESTIVAL AND WIN A TRIP TO THE U.S.A!

The Bondi Short Film Festival has reached cult status amongst indie filmmakers across Australia. With an eclectic mix of high end quality short films and a devoted audience it is little wonder the event has sold out every year for the past seven years. Over this time, numerous industry heavyweights have lent their support as guest judges including Margaret Pomeranz, Martin Fabinyi, Leanne Walsmann, Claudia Karvan, Chris Haywood, Sam Worthington and Brendan Cowell to name a few.

With it’s commitment to independent Australian film, the festival has maintained that all film entries are free. The festival separates itself from other short Film Festivals in Australia by not restricting filmmakers to a particular theme and ensures that all entries are 100% Australian.

Festival Director, Francis Coady said, “In short we want to see the very best short films Australia has to offer and we do not want to restrict the film maker in anyway.”

2008 will see a brand new sponsorship partner with SHOWTIME Australia. SHOWTIME will provide an incredible first prize to the winner of BEST FILM. The prize includes return flights to America to experience a Short Film Festival of choice.

Spectrum Films, who have been supporting the Festival since 2000, will provide $3000.00 in free editing time to best film. Core 3 Entertainment based at Fox Studios will provide best film with a $1000.00 cash prize along with a first look development deal and for the best actor, a role on one of their upcoming 2009 productions.
