Victoria’s picturesque Cameo Outdoor Cinema announces its program for the summer of 2018. Cameo Outdoor Cinema has announced its summer program for moonlight movies in the stunning Dandenong Ranges. Movie-goers can soak up the natural setting while enjoying new releases and retro classics.

Patrons can bring along a picnic blanket to lie back under the stars or make use of the comfortable deck chairs and bean bags while enjoying locally sourced choc tops, lollies, popcorn and other savoury and sweet treats from the Cameo Cinema food and drink bar.

Program highlights include Only the Brave (2017), based on the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a group of elite firefighters risk everything to protect a town from a historic wildfire; Downsizing (2017), where Matt Damon stars as an occupational therapist who undergoes a new procedure to be shrunken to four inches tall; and The Greatest Showman (2017), an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business starring Hugh Jackman.

January’s films include: LAbyrinth (2018), The Post (2018), Swinging Safari (2017), The Current War (2017), The Shape of Water (2017), The Darkest Hour (2011), Sweet Water (2016), Molly’s Game (2017) and White Boy Rick (2018).

The Cameo will open an hour before each film begins, allowing plenty of time to soak up the natural beauty of the surrounding Dandenong Ranges. Cameo Outdoor Cinema features a 14 metre widescreen with audio delivered through headphones, and a picnic-style seating area with deckchairs and bean bags.

Cameo Outdoor Cinema is fully licensed with a selection of craft beers and boutique Victorian wines available from the bar. Patrons can bring their own picnic or feast on Cameo Outdoor Cinema’s gourmet food options, including a diverse selection of savoury snacks, from edamame to Mount Zero Olives, or classic cinema treats including freshly popped popcorn and handmade choc tops. Treats from local favourites The Sassafras Sweet Co and Coco Joes dairy-free ice cream will be on site to further satisfy any sweet-toothed cinema-goers.
