:: New look Quickflix website

By: Carmine Pascuzzi

Spending the night in with a DVD has just become easier, cheaper and more convenient with the launch of a new look website from Quickflix, one of Australia’s leading independent online movie rental companies. With no late fees, Quickflix is convenient for increasingly busy lifestyles; DVDs can be viewed at leisure before returning them by reply paid post. Members pre-select DVD titles online from a catalogue of over 33,000 titles to create a list called the ‘Queue’ and they arrive by post within a few days. Quickflix can be trialled free for 14 days by anyone interested in trying the service before purchasing a subscription.

The Quickflix site is easy to search, browse and navigate; DVDs can be found by title, genre, actor, director, and year of production. In addition to renting movies, members can access DVDs of television series, games, music, sport, educational programs, cooking shows and other lifestyle programs. Blu-ray and High Definition DVDs are also available. A range of rental subscriptions are designed to suit all budgets with per month payments and no long term commitment. Members can hold a set amount of DVDs in their possession at one time depending on their subscription level.

“Quickflix is excellent value for money, time-saving and a great entertainment option for singles, couples, families, friends and as a gift. Almost everyone has access to a DVD player and the internet and around 80 percent of Australian homes have both in the same household, so Quickflix can be enjoyed by almost everyone,” said Stephen Langsford, Quickflix Executive Director and co-founder.

Members benefit by ranking their selected DVDs in order of preference and keeping their Queue topped up with at least 20 titles. Quickflix has access to movies as soon as they leave cinemas and titles yet to be released can also be reserved.

“Traditional movie rental stores are decreasing in number and Quickflix has seen growth in membership numbers almost double over the past year. The Quickflix library is growing by 500 new titles each month, offering a bigger range than traditional stores,” said Stephen.

Additional optional services include:
•Quick Links categories, including an advanced search, and Featured Lists such as New Releases, Coming Soon and Highly Rated
•Movie Selector: recommends titles based on viewing habits, titles rated, favourite movies, actors, directors and other preferences
•Queue Top-up: provides the option to automatically fill the Queue to 20 titles
•KidzQueue: a separate list members create for children’s DVDs, perfect for families
•Movie reviews from a number of sources can assist with movie selection
