Located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD and offering a spectacular city skyline view, Rooftop Cinema is one of the most popular events on the summer calendar. Back for its sixth season, Rooftop Cinema opens on December 3 and runs until March 31 2012.

Showcasing an eclectic collection of arthouse, classic and recently released films in a completely unique urban environment, highlights include Labyrinth, Bridesmaids, The Hangover II, Purple Rain, The Lost Boys, Heathers, Stand By Me, Casablanca, Desperately Seek Susan and We Need To Talk About Kevin. Surrounded by the glowing lights of Melbourne, catering offered by Melbourne’s sought after food-cart connoisseur, Raph Rashid (Taco Truck and Beatbox Kitchen Burgers), and a coveted program of films, Rooftop Cinema offers one of the most unique outdoor cinema experiences in the world.

Sessions are held every night excluding Mondays and Fridays. Doors open at 8.30pm with screenings beginning at sundown (around 9.30pm). This year Rooftop Cinema will feature an intermission for the first time, allowing people to replenish their beverages and take in the breath taking views.
