Holly Valance is usually associated with pop music, which in turn is associated with being, well, cheesy. Yet Holly’s return new single State of Mind shows a rockier and funkier Holly, perhaps owing to collaborations with the likes of Vertigo and Felix da Housecat. Comprising of five electronica-drenched dance-floor versions of the single and a healthy smattering of breathy, synthesised vocals, it’ll do a good job of getting you out of the house for a night on the town.
