It’s a tribute to the courage of Kristine W that she is even able to sing again. She had to undergo a battle with cancer two years ago. He actually suffered from acute myeloid leukemia. During her battle, she was comforted by music and she watched others battle and lose their fight. She even felt helpless when September 11, 2001 came and she saw others who couldn’t fight for their lives. Kristine therefore dedicated this album to those who have fought the illness. She has a wonderful voice and it surrounds a series of catchy beats of jumping 80s house sounds. One wonders how she could reach such vocal power after what she’s endured, but these songs will inspire and she’ll surely recapture the hearts of her fans, especially in Europe. She teams up with excellent producers and a couple of notable tracks are the title track and “The Wonder Of It All”. The production has wrapped her voice around the shapes of electronica and jazz/pop influences. Kristine wrote ten of the twelve songs and even played guitar and saxophone on several songs. She deserves great credit for her courage and for producing this work.
